Recipe: Shell’s Dirty Guacamole

When you want a guacamole that has a bit more of a kick to it than usual, try this one! I had a bit of fun spicing up (pun intended) my Simple Guacamole for a recent get together with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday.

  • 3 Avocados
  • 1 package cherry tomatoes
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • 1 Lime (or 2 drops Lime Vitality essential oil)
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • 1 chiptole pepper
  • Cilantro
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Chili Powder to taste
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

Mash the avocados to desired consistency (I like mine with some chunks still present).

Add tomatoes, peppers (all kinds), and onion chunks to a food processor or chopper and chop until pieces are small and it’s almost (ALMOST) like a puree.

Add the contents of the processor / chopper and mashed up avocados to a bowl and mix well.

Add cut up cilantro to taste.

Squeeze lime over the blend and then add black pepper, chili powder, and sea salt to taste.

I like to chill it for a few hours before serving so the flavors have a chance to blend together.

    1. That’s what inspired the recipe was having a lot of peppers I needed to use up quickly. For those who don’t like space they can add some more tomatoes or more lime in it will offset the kick a little bit.
