Who I Am: Shell Vera…

I am Shell Vera: Voice Discovery Coach, writer, and former marketer who left that world behind to pursue a passion for helping people make complicated things a little less daunting. I find joy in life by empowering people to tell their story, increase their faith, and truly live their best life.

I:

  • am a mother, an avid reader, and a follower of Christ’s teachings.
  • live life in a way that allows those I am around to know they are loved and to elicit smiles from anyone I come in contact with.
  • am an introvert who receives my energy from time alone in prayer, meditation, and journaling, usually by the water or outdoors.
  • enjoy nature, movies, and plays.
  • really enjoy essential oils, spoken word, kickboxing, street tacos and guacamole, and time with family and friends (though limited to one-to-one or very small groups).

Shell Vera – The Essential Creative

This blog is a passion project. Due to my enjoyment of essential oils and how they have helped me since 2014, I have developed a community of bloggers and natural living advocates who share information with others. On The Essential Creative (www.TheEssentialCreative.com), we share tips about reaching new levels of creative expression. This includes posts related to faith, family, business, and community: the areas in which I believe we all want to reach higher levels of expressing ourselves creatively while influencing change and challenging others to grow.

The blog has been a bit dormant over the past years while I have been navigating a full-time career and homeschooling, but I will be working in time for blogging again actively starting in the Spring of 2025.

About the Community

While I write from a Christian worldview, I don’t believe (and have been told) you have to be Christian to enjoy my blogs. In my posts, I will reference Young Living products occasionally since I use them to enhance my creativity and wellness.
